The “Line of Inquiry” Generator

Purpose: Help students generate meaningful questions.

Prompt:

Generate 3 questions:

1. Factual (What is happening?)

2. Interpretive (What might this mean?)

3. “What if” (What could be different?)

• Which question would lead to the best discussion—and why?


The “Revision Ladder”

Purpose: Develop taste through iteration.

Prompt:

• How did Version A improve to Version B?

• What changed?

• What still needs work?

• What would Version C look like?

AI Extension:

• How would you revise the prompt to get a better output?
